We’re Danica, 10, and Harriet, 8, we live in West Melton and this is our Sylvanian Families collection!
We got our first set as a gift, and we really liked them. We spend hours looking at Toy World and then save our pocket money to buy new sets. That’s where we saw the nurse set – it was so cool! We have been building this collection for six years!
Sometimes we play together, or with our mum. They are good to play with when we’re bored – we make up crazy stories or ones like real life. One of the things we like about the families is that the characters are all different – not like LEGO where everyone looks the same. Harriet’s favourite Sylvanian animal is the baby otter. (Can you find him?) We call him Little Guy. Some of the other animals’ names are: Milo (little brown dog), Coconut (white cat), Berry (bear), Nutmeg (brown cat), Bun (sitting rabbit) and Eee (crawling rabbit).
Our favourite sets are the doctor and the dentist ones. We play with the doctor’s clinic the most because we love all the small pieces: the syringe, medical notes and pill packets. We haven’t lost any bits! Can you see them? They’re so small! We have to pack them up when we’re done even though setting everything up can take hours! We use storage containers with little spaces for all the tiny pieces so the vacuum doesn’t get them.
