DescriptionMystery tramping excursions were held in the 1930s by New Zealand Railways. Trampers would be carried by train from Ōtautahi Christchurch to a mystery stop in Canterbury from where they would go on a tramp together before returning by train. This tramp on the 4th of October 1936 was between Sheffield and Homebush.
