DescriptionMembers of the Greenpark branch of the Women's Division Federated Farmers (WDFF, now Rural Women New Zealand (RWNZ). This image was published in the 1953 history of the North Canterbury province of the WDFF. This branch formed in June 1935, with Mrs H. Campbell as it's first president, but she soon moved away, and Mrs. H. Harris held the role for the next 10 years. Throughout World War Two, the branch sent many parcels away 'to local boys at the front'. The Greenpark branch was also known for it's birthday parties, and for the way it helped to organise a daily bus service to Christchurch when the local passenger railway closed.
