NameGould AquafarmsDescriptionGould Aquafarms was a fish processing company based on Timberyard Road near Te Waihora Lake Ellesmere from the 1970s to the 1990s, starting with flounder and tuna (eel) processing.
It was run by Trevor and Noeline Gould, and supplied retailers with a range of products under the Aquahaven brand, including smoked tuna fillets, smoked mussels, smoked salmon and seafood and tuna pate. Gould Aquafarms were pioneers in live tuna exporting.
