TitleEllesmere Gun Club, 1930Description1930 was a big year for the Ellesmere Gun Club, originally based at Lakeside. The club purchased a new shooting ground of 3 acres on Beetham's Road, Leeston, from Mr. G. W. R. Osborne. At this time, the club held annual clay shoots, pigeon shoots as well a holiday shoot, a duck dinner, and an annual club ball where awards were presented.
In its opening event for the season of 1930, held at their Lakeside shooting grounds in April, three clay sweeps were held, one of six birds and two of nine.
For the 1930 season, Mr. Parkin was the president of the club, and Mr. F. Alexander the honorary secretary.
