Description'This is Alison Ede's (nee Patterson) recipe for Cinnamon Oysters, from the Killinchy Krackers community recipe book (1980). Alison's Cinnamon Oysters were famous in the district: she baked industrial quantities of them for all kinds of community events it was her trademark dish. The CWI were a group I joined back in 1982 after Alison introduced herself when we moved into the district in 1981. Everyone bought plates of food to the meetings, as there were often friendly competitions to bake a type of food. Of course, a tin of baking was the first neighbourly gesture we received!'
