Other Biographical InformationMary Milne came to New Zealand with her parents Francis and Jane, along with six siblings, arriving in Lyttleton on 3 July on board the ship Dunedin. Sadly her youngest sister, Helen, died at sea on the voyage. Her father Francis was a shoemaker as was her older brother Daniel. Four years later in 1878 on April 30th, she married William James Stevenson, son of George Stevenson and Janet Marshall. William pre-deceased her, dying 10 Jan 1917 at Greendale, Canterbury, New Zealand. Mary died aged 82 on 10 april 1941 at the home of her daughter, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch. She joined William in the Greendale Cemetery; Presbyterian, Row B, Plot 20 and 21.
