NameBoot Repair and General Store, Doyleston
DescriptionIn early 1930, C. F. (Clarence / Clarrie) and Maggie Turner took over the cash business, general store and boot repair shop owned by Mrs Rachael Hibberd. Her husband George had owned the store from before 1916, and Rachael ran it alone after his death in 1927.

In the early 1930s W. G. Turner also used the store for his business as an agent of radio supplier L. B. Scott Ltd, suppliers of Crosley Receiving Sets.
In 1949 the store was sold to Don and Jean McPherson, who turned it into a Four Square shop. They would go on to buy the Doyleston General Store across the road in 1961, and close their former shop.
